Fully-automatic shelf-operating systems - made by SIVAplan

Shelf-operating systems are the workhorses in a high-rise warehouse. Loads have to be moved into and out of stock quickly but safely – frequently all round the clock. SIVAplan is well aware of these requirements, and offers the corresponding specially-designed fully-automatic shelf-operating systems. Whether in production, the trade or logistics – customers throughout Europe have been relying on shelf-operating systems from SIVAplan for over 30 years. As one of the pioneers of modern warehouse technology, SIVAplan develops, produces and installs high-quality shelf-operating systems for many common transport units at its Troisdorf main works. The basis of the comprehensive product portfolio is formed by the versatile standard range "RBG Vario", which is convincing for its many possibilities of tailor-made system solutions up to 45 m in height and payloads from 0.75 kN to well over 20 kN. For individual or complex requirements, the premium range "RBG Flex" is also available, which thanks to its flexible and modular design can be adapted to all customer-specific requirements of modern logistics.

Process optimisation by palette checking Complex palette warehouses with fully-automatic conveyor and warehouse technology only work properly with undamaged palette. Faulty, defective or even incomplete transport units interfere with or even interrupt the material flow in the worst-case, and therefore affect the availability of the complete logistics area. The higher the demands on an uninterrupted material flow, the better must be the quality of the palettes used in the warehouse. The dimensional stability and the mechanical properties of the wooden palettes must comply with the highest standards. More than 20 % of all Euro-palettes are faulty! Many of the Euro-palettes left by hauliers or suppliers, which then enter the material flow, do not comply with these strict quality requirements. Broken planks at the top or bottom, projecting nails or missing spacer blocks clearly indicate why Euro-palettes must be checked to ensure that they are in good condition before use. SIVAplan offers modular and extendable systems for the visual and electro-mechanical quality checking of palettes. The range includes both integratable individual modules as well as complex complete systems, together with the corresponding conveyor technology. The design and function of the palette checking systems from SIVAplan are based on the application- and customer-specific requirements, and can be integrated easily into existing transport and conveyor systems, including those supplied by other manufacturers. Separate throughput operation is also possible as an alternative, for example for palette sorting by road-hauliers or larger commercial enterprises.

Solutions for high-speed warehouses

The revolutionary SAT-Mobil® for normal and refrigerated use down to -30 °C guarantees a fast material flow and maximum storage density. The cost-and space-saving storage system from SIVAplan combines minimum designed depth with maximum speed and outstanding reliability. This newly developed concept departs from traditional shelf-operating systems, and instead it uses a combination of several SAT-Mobils® and few vertical conveyors. The SAT-Mobils® are transfer carriages, which operate on one level of the high-rise warehouse, and carry one or two gangway vehicles (so-called satellite units), which each transport a palette into the depth of the gangway.
