1893 Ernst Wagner founds the company on April 1 in Pfullingen, Germany, producing hand-operated chain link fencing machines
1905+1906 Wagner’s automatic wire fencing machine is awarded gold medals on fairs in London and Brussels.
1909 The company moves to Reutlingen, Germany; Hans Ficker becomes an active partner and the firm’s name changes to Wagner & Ficker Maschinenfabrik.

2001 WAFIOS enters into a cooperative alliance with Schlatter AG in Zurich, Switzerland, a manufacturer of machines for the production of industrial mesh and display articles.
2001 The WAFIOS Group can produce multi-station headers for wire diameters up to 38 mm due to the purchase of Formatech.

2005 Acquisition of cold header program “Kieserling“ from Schumag AG in March 2005. Due to the tight sales cooperation with HILGAND-NUTAP and FORMATECH, the WAFIOS Group is now the most complete provider of cold heading machines and is therefore now holding a top position on this market worldwide
