| When Compass Software GmbH was founded in 1992 by Manfred Planta, those who were associates and close employees at that time decided to continue to develop and to sell only the software for staircase manufacturers which was already on the market (since 1984). |
This decision remained unchanged until today and the success of the software and therefore the success of CS is based on this decision.
The concentration on one user group enabled the development of a product which today covers nearly all the needs of most of the staircase manufacturers in Germany as well as Europe. This does not mean that it is not necessary to continue to develop this product. On the contrary: The demands on modern software steadily change and at this point, CS also meets the requirments of the market with the application of the latest state of the art in the field of software technology and a software development on the highest level with software engineers and other specialists.
It's the stated objective of all employees that CS becomes the primary contact address for all staircase manufacturers with regard to software. We consider all companys with staircase production as staircase manufacturers, even if it is not their only field of production.
