In-line production and FAS Converting Machinery AB has always been well known, but running off-line on the same unit is this possible with no further adjustments? Come and see for yourselves as we will show this at the K2007 in hall 3 stand A96 where FAS together with the extruder company Ibañez, and raw material supplier Borealis, is an event at the K2007 which you must see.
At the show FAS will display the BWU900 with an improved tape unit TU220 for standard garbage bags production on a roll. FAS will run the machine both in and off-line with no special adjustments between the 2 different production concepts.
The flexibility, capacity and total price level in reference to quality of the units and components are the key words at FAS.
The units shown at the exhibition will be:
• BWU900 - a flexible servo driven unit with 3 machine in one concept.
• TU220 - the new and improved tape unit.

To develop and market machinery, accessories and a full range of after market service, in order to optimize the production process of converting PE film to products on a roll.
History
FAS was formed in 1978 in Ystad, Sweden. The idea was excellent: To convert plastic bags in-line, directly from an extruder, instead of running off-line, in two stages. The goal was to produce plastic bags as easily and profitable as possible. The basic idea has proven to be a winning concept, the in-line philosophy spread and has earned FAS substantial market shares, worldwide.
In the beginning, FAS concentrated its business to the European market. In 1981, Peco Inc. was appointed as the North American distributor of FAS machines. After 18 years of close co-operation, FAS 1999 incorporated Peco Inc., which now functions as FAS' North American subsidiary.

 | Cutting units The models in the series C cutting units are used for t-shirt, wave-top or apron production. All models are easy to operate from the control panel where all production and alarm parameters are set and adjusted during production. The series C models are free standing units and they can work in both in- and off-line configurations. |  | In-line production and off-line production with the same uni In-line production and off-line production with the same uni |  | Perforating sealing units The series B are free standing units for continous perforating and sealing of PE film. In all our models the bag length can easily be adjusted during production in the operator panel. A number of pre-set product parameters can also be saved in the operators panel to enable quick changes of the production. The units are suitable for both in- and off-line configurations. |  | Winding units FAS winding units are fully automatic and easy to operate. All parameters used for the winding process are easy to set in the operator panel. A range of accessories can be mounted on the units and controlled in the integrated control panel. The units can work as a stand alone unit or togehter with other FAS models.
