Last year, Amada was able to mark the 60th anniversary of its foundation. This would not have been possible without your support. This year, under our founder’s Principle, the “Creativity", we have started taking steps toward building a new business structure. We think it is now and forever the mission of Amada, a dedicated manufacturer of metal processing machines, to contribute to society through this creation of new manufacturing methods.
The social environment changes being brought about by a borderless and globalized world are becoming increasingly complicated, even changing the economic markets and our lifestyles. Especially, companies supporting the manufacturing business are facing with many challenges to solve, including response to high-mix/low-volume production demand, transfer of technical skills, and countermeasures to the declining birthrate and aging population. In the meantime, the companies are required to implement measures focusing more on social life such as protection of natural environment and coexistence with local communities.
In any age, the society is demanded to take such endless measures to global environmental changes. Amada was among the first in the industry to promote globalization of its business.
