Integrated competences: that's the concept of the AIMT Group. From 2006 we are combining heat treatment and surface technologies under one banner at Aalberts Industries Material Technologies. A network of experts at more than 50 sites will provide you a highly qualified service, competent contact partners and full technical service in any issue relating to the finishing of materials. Anytime. Across Europe.
 | Centrifuge coating Centrifuge coating | | Flat spray unit GLISS-COAT® stands for a range of dry lubricant coatings. These coatings are designed to reduce friction and wear and are well-suited for the coating of metals, light metals, plastic and many other materials.
GLISS-COAT® coating materials are water-soluble and can be applied in various ways. They are completely free of heavy metals. The flow behavior of the coatings is designed so that there is no troublesome edge build-up or drop formation along the edges and borings. The processes are fine-tuned on the basis of the shape and number of substrates, the properties of the liquid coating material, e.g. single or multi-component systems and the requirements expected from the coating once it is finished. Single parts are coated with automated surface spray units, while smaller mass-produced parts, for instance, are treated in special barrel-plating devices.
The drying process is carried out during the plating. At temperatures below 100°C the single parts need to be left scattered to ensure a uniform heat impact on each workpiece. This develops the required layer properties such as optimal hardness, corrosion resistance and lubrication. | | NITAI NITAI® is the collective name for all of AIMT's nitriding and nitrocarburising processes. Nitriding is a thermochemical process for the functional coating of steel, cast and sintered materials.
The nitriding process is based on the diffusion of nitrogen. The workpiece is placed in an atmosphere containing nitrogen at a temperature ranging between 480 and 580°C. Nitrogen atoms from the nitriding medium diffuse into the workpiece's surface and alter the workpiece's chemical composition and the surface layer's structure.
