German automotive parts maker Bosch will invest EUR 80m to build a new plant in Romania employing 2,000 people, newswires reported, citing local authorities. Bosch and the local council signed an agreement which allows the German manufacturer to lease for 99 years a site in an industrial park north of Cluj for its new plant which is expected to be operational by the end of 2012. The German group's decision to invest in Cluj will fill the gap left by the closure late last year of mobile phone giant Nokia's plant.
