Romanian company Depaco has received EBRD funds to finance a new production and storage facility.  Depaco is known for the manufacture of metallic sheet tiles using the brand name Wetterbest.  It is also part of the TeraPlast Group.  This group is a leading company for the manufacture of construction materials in Romania. The aim is that the loan will refinance existing loans as well as launching the new facility which will produce extra roof tiles and profiles – an extra 10million m2 of goods.

Founded in 1896 TeraPlast Group started life in northern Transylvania.  The Bistrita-based company started as one manufacturing unit producing ceramic tiles and has grown into one of the largest suppliers of building materials in Romania.  The group includes:  TeraPlast, TeraSteel, TeraGlass and Depaco (Wetterbest).
In 2018 the EBRD invested over €400 million into the Romanian economy bringing the total investment in the country to over €8.3billion.  It remains the leading international investor in the country.
