Rolf Schlicht GmbH was founded in 1959 by graduate chemist Rolf Schlicht. Due to special contacts in the rubber and cable industry, the trading house for technical industrial products specialised in representing internationally well-known manufacturers of machines for these industrial branches as, for example:

• MAILLEFER/Switzerland, who had just acquired a patent for the barrier screw - a technology that is used worldwide still today
• SAGITTA/Italy, manufacturer of band granulators for precise granulating of rubber compounds - a nearly unique system that is used up to this day

At the time when Rolf Schlicht GmbH was already know on the German market and had begun to establish connections in the foreign market, associations with further machine manufacturers were taking form as, for example:

• REP/France for rubber-injection-moulding machines
• BARWELL/Great Britain for ram extruders and pre-formers

The company engaged specialists to manage the delivery programmes of the various manufacturers, handling the technical aspects of the equipment and the distribution of information and advice to customers.

An enormous enrichment of our range of delivery was effected by contracts with companies such as:

• COLMEC/Italy for extruders and extrusion lines for the rubber industry
• PRODICON for cooling lines - batch-off and cantilever - in the area of the mixing room
• COMERIO ERCOLE for calenders, mixing mills and internal mixers
• BLACKFRIARS/Great Britain for granulating systems and bale granulators

Due to the company’s progressive development over the years, Rolf Schlicht’s two sons, Joachim and Michael, joined the company in 1979. They are leading Rolf Schlicht GmbH today.

After more than 40 years in business, Rolf Schlicht GmbH employs eleven people and continues its involvement in the sales and technology of machinery and complete production lines for the rubber and cable industry. Additionally, we are engaged heavily and increasingly also in the plastics industry, now.

We represent several prominent machine manufacturers from Italy, Switzerland, Great Britain and the Unites States, among them BLACKFRIARS, COLMEC, COMERIO ERCOLE, FRIUL FILIERE, HUESTIS, PRODICON, PUGNO, SAGITTA and WALLACE.

Furthermore, since January 2005 we also represent company NORMEC/Norway, manufacturer of machinery and systems for joining rubber and silicone profiles, as well as of moulds and rubber foils.

USD Gebrauchtmaschinen GmbH - 25 years young

In 1982, our subsidiary USD Gebrauchtmaschinen GmbH was founded, which is mainly engaged in procuring and selling used and reconditioned machines and whole lines for the rubber industry, but also offers a choice of new machinery.

Schlicht Handelsgesellschaft oHG

With Schlicht Handelsgesellschaft oHG, there was founded a second subsidiary in 1995. This company concentrates on cleaning technology and dosing systems for the plastics industry. The delivery programme includes RAPDID PURGE cleaning compound, SEGHERS KÉPPEL cleaning systems, DUROPLAST plastic-blast medium and MOVACOLOR dosing devices.

Machinery Manufactured by Ourselves

Already more than 25 years ago, Rolf Schlicht GmbH started working on the development of powder-coating machines type RSC for continuously running strands, mainly in the cable and rubber industry.

Together with a specialised machine manufacturer near Hamburg, we are meanwhile producing already the fourth generation of our powder-coating systems. Due to an absolutely dust-free operation and a finely adjustable powdering intensity, these machines are supplied worldwide.

We deliver systems for manifold areas: from high-speed cable lines to extrusion lines for rubber profiles, hoses or bands, production of moulded goods and more. We also develop special systems designed exactly for the requirements of particular customers.

Furthermore, together with our partner near Hamburg, for some years we have been manufacturing high-precisely working cutting machines and caterpillars type RS-Multicut for the area of plastics and rubber extrusion. Our systems represent latest state of technology, they guarantee clean cut faces, are flexibly applicable and require few maintenance. Also these machines are worldwide in demand.

Technical advice, delivery of spare parts ex our stock in Hamburg and prompt service belong to our work as naturally as do visits to customers’ factories and trials at our works.

To provide as much information as possible about our wide-ranging delivery programme and to maintain personal contact, we travel around the world and exhibit on trade fairs as, for example, the “K”, “Wire”, “IRC” and “Fakuma”.

For machinery manufactured by ourselves, we also have a worldwide network of agencies.

Beyond that, we persistently look for interesting new equipment for our customers.

In 1997, we changed our office location to new, larger and more modern facilities. A larger stock of spare parts and a technical centre for execution of trials further promoted the progression and expansion of the company. Today, this enables us to attend to our customers even more intensively than before.
