ISCAR is introducing a new, unique family of 45° milling cutters.
The new tools can carry in their pockets either the
S845 SNMU 1305... - square, double-sided inserts with 8 cutting edges or the ONMU 0505... octagonal, double-sided inserts with 16 cutting edges - the most economical insert regarding price per cutting edge. Both inserts have helical cutting edges and positive rake angles, featuring low power consumption and excellent surface finish. The new inserts are available in the most advanced SUMO TEC carbide grades.
In the first stage, ISCAR will introduce the following SOE/SOF45 8/16 tool range:
• Endmills in diameters 25 to 40 mm
• Face mills in diameters 40 to 125 mm

ISCAR is introducing new HELITURN LNMX 1506..R/L-HT IS8 ceramic inserts with a molded chipformer. The new inserts combine the advantage of the HELITURN tangentially clamped insert system with the ceramic grade and a sophisticated molded chipformer. The tangential clamping is most important when using ceramic inserts, as by means of this method bending forces are practically eliminated from being exerted on the insert. The new insert can be used for high speed machining (500-1000 m/min) of cast iron. The LNMX 1506..R/L-HT IS8 insert is the ultimate solution for Fast Metal Removal when machining disk brakes, flanges, valves and other mass production parts made from cast iron. |  | MAXIN Power Chuck - Heavy Duty Clamping Power for

With the MAXIN tool, only a small tightening torque compresses the frontal nose, providing an extremely high gripping force.
It is designed for roughing and finishing applications in milling where high torque transmission, maximum accuracy, compactness and easy operation are required.

The high gripping force achieved by the MAXIN Power Chuck results from the shallow nose tapered cone with helical slot inside the internal chuck bore. It exerts a very high clamping force when the clamping nut is rotated in the axial direction. The shallow taper of the tool nose and the angled position of the needle bearing
that sit in the cage create the axial movement of the clamping nut.
This unique clamping mechanism eliminates axial movement of the shank while clamping, simplifying the preset process.

Parting and Recessing
Following the very successful performance in parting and grooving of the PENTA 24 pentagonal insert, ISCAR has developed the PENTA 34 - a larger insert, for up to 10 mm depth of cut.
Like the smaller PENTACUT insert, the PENTA 34 can be used for multifunction applications including grooving, parting, recessing and chamfering.
The new family features:
• A stronger insert for higher machining parameters.
• A modified C-type chipformer with an expanded feed range of
0.05-0.25 mm/rev.
• Excellent straightness and surface quality, especially on groove
bottoms and sidewalls.
• Very rigid clamping design.
• Five cutting edges, which provide the most advantageous price
per cutting edge. |  | SOLIDDRILL Long Solid Carbide Drills
ISCAR's new family of long solid carbide drills (up to 22*D) comprises drills in the diameter range of 5 to 10 mm. These drills feature low cutting force, excellent chip evacuation and have coolant holes through which M.Q.L. can be induced.
M.Q.L. is a very efficient method to protect the cutting edge, lubricate the machined surfaces, and help to push the chips out along the chip gullets. It is very economical and environmentally friendly.
The drills are made from ultra-fine solid carbide and are TiAlN coated, combining high toughness and wear resistance.
In addition to general use application drills, ISCAR offers drills with dimensions specially designed for the automotive industry applications crankshaft lubrication holes, engine blocks, connecting rods, etc. Deep hole drills are also widely used in the die and mold industry and for machine tool parts. |  | turning turning | |
