KONTRA Anlagentechnik GmbH was founded on the 1st of July 1986 and currently employs a staff of 70.
On the 1st of July 1989 we moved into new-built facilities which were enlarged in 1994.
We finished a further extension at the end of 1999.

The requirements of up to date production systems
demand ever more precise, easy to operate and
reliable concepts.
The patented concept of the KONTRA diagonal saw
(German Patent No. 39 03 513) offers a high quality,
easy to operate technology for continuously
producing press lines. Compact construction, high
accuracy and reliability are distinctive features of the undercut saws
Cutting short boards with high press speed is possible because of reduced mass in motion and a high dynamic Servo drive concept.
The expanded concept with longitudinal trimming covers all requirements. The double versions enable
a tool change during production.

In addition to the optimum sanding machine, an
adequate handling system also forms part of a
highly efficient sanding line.
Particularly in the area of inline formatting
board cutting, KONTRA has developed and
successfully realised interesting solutions in close cooperation with customers
(Inline-Saw see “Saw Systems”)

KONTRA length and cross cut saws divide
standard formats into the required fixed dimensions.
These saws offer an economical and effective
cutting of board materials.
A combination of length and cross cutting including trimming units make up the high quality board
cutting systems. Finish formats can be produced in one step in the sanding line with an integrated inline
saw system.
Advantage of an inline saw system in a sanding line:
The concept can replace a complex book cut–to-size system.
Advantage in price over a sanding line / book saw system.
No intermediate buffer storage necessary between sanding line and saw system.
Shorter passage from press to strapping line.
Less stack handling.

The KONTRA storage automation system takes
over the handling and transport to the storage area
and to the downstream processing and production
lines.
The basic carriage is used for the transport to and
from the production lines.
The store shuttle carriage (dog system) will be used for the stack transport within the storage fields.
Driven chain conveyors and a centre roller rail are integrated into the basic carriage upon request.
This enables a direct stack transfer and delivery. Thus several loading and unloading positions may be approached without the need for additional adapter fields.
The stacks are stored on a simple steel construction or reinforced concrete slabs.
Stack packing units will be used with low stack height out of the stacking system.
This system can pack 2-3 small stacks to one big stack to increase the storage capacity.
