The FZ 08 / 08 K Magnum is a small, compact series machine for the complete machining with 12 or 24 tools, quick retooling, simple operation and with integrated transport rollers for easy replacement. It can either be delivered with a fixed table or with a workpiece changer.

The superior strength of this series lies in the stable base construction of the solid, robust machine tool design, which has considerable reserve capacity for completing even the most difficult cutting tasks in an ideal way.
The performance values are equally amazing. With chip-to-chip times of 1.9 s (FZ 12 W) and 2.4 s (FZ 12 W MAGNUM), the 12 Series is among the fastest of its class.
The robust construction of the spindle with generously dimensioned bearings and the tool interfaces SK 30, SK 40 or HSK 63 allow for excellent milling performance.
The FZ 12 W offers the best conditions for machining a wide range of workpieces. CHIRON is known worldwide for their lightning fast tool changes. The patented CHIRON basket changer with 20 tools shines with tool changing times as fast as 0.8 s. Thanks to the magazine which moves along, the additional axis traversal for the tool change is no longer necessary.

The impressive thing about the FZ 15 Series is the consistent realisation of a clear platform and modular strategy. The machines are available either with 1 or 2 spindles, with a fixed table or with a workpiece changing unit, with an NC swivel rotary table, with a basket changer and 20 tools or with the chain magazine and 48 tools. Every user can invest in the machine which is optimally tuned to his specifications, which avoids unnecessary extra costs.
The quickest way to machine five sides
A new age is beginning for the 5-side machining of complex workpieces in one set-up. The new FZ 15 S five axis is setting standards with regard to speed, precision and availability.
The highlight of the FZ 15 S five axis is the stable NC swivel rotary table with a swivelling range from +/- 110° and a table load capacity of 320 kg.
Every commercially available clamping system can be mounted to this table, which guarantees the highest possible flexibility.
A chain magazine with 48 tools is available with the FZ 15K S five axis, which also makes it possible for more complex workpieces to be machined on 5 sides in one set-up.

CHIRON is introducing a completely new machine generation to the market with the FZ 18 series: dynamics paired with power.
The robust and fail-safe machining centres of the FZ 18 Series are designed for high-speed machining, as well as for heavy cutting.
Their superior strength lies in the stable base construction, which has sufficient power capacity available to complete even difficult cutting tasks within an extremely short period of time.
A complete program of advanced high-performance centres
The machines are available with 1 or 2 spindles, with a fixed table or with a workpiece changing unit, with an NC swivel rotary table or as a longbed, and with a basket changer with 20 tools or with a chain magazine with 40 or 60 tools.
DZ 18 L: for double productivity
CHIRON has developed the 2nd generation of double spindle machines and, with the DZ 18 L, is offering a machine now which sets standards in this class.
Speed, flexibility, productivity, availability and accessibility: all these criteria have been optimised. The tool changer and the tool magazine are fully encapsulated outside of the work area. The DZ 18 L has sufficient capacity for more complex machining tasks. CHIRON also offers the DZ 18 L with a basket changer with 2 x 14 tools and a spindle clearance of 600 mm.
|  | Axes "No grease, no oil" – this completely applies to Chiron. Lifelong grease lubricated, slip-/stick-free antifriction guides and ball screws are put into action. Thanks to the low-maintenance, digital direct drives with absolute encoders (without approaching reference points), rapid feed speeds of up to 60 m/min at an acceleration of up to 1.2 g are reached. Integral measuring systems simplify the production processes with higher quality and greater flexibility.

Chiron offers custom machines for medium and small batch production with the MILL Series. The simple, robust basic structure with few wear parts guarantees the highest availability and forms the basis for an economic, practical machine design. Its strengths go beyond its milling capacity.
It is also distinguished by excellent user friendliness with a clearly arranged work area and easy accessibility. The Mill works safely and quietly, requires little space and is low-maintenance.
Higher productivity
Machines are available with X travel of 800 to 8 000 mm. Pendulum working is also available for versions from MILL 2000. In the high-speed-plus version, spindle speeds up to 20 000 rpm and rapid feeds of 60 m/min are available.
The MILL Series allows 5-axis machining according to various principles: On the one hand, the design with the NC swivel head and NC rotary table with the horizontally or vertically arranged rotary axis, and on the other hand, the design with the fully integrated NC swivel rotary table (MILL 800), which offers the ideal conditions for machining cubic parts.
With the horizontal rotary axis, parts with X-travel up to 8 000 mm can be machined. Irrespective of the version, 24 / 40 / 60 / 92 / 165 tool places are available.
The NC swivel head with the SYNCHRON motor spindle and a swivelling range of ± 100° allows complex parts to be machined, either horizontally or vertically, in one set-up.

Shuttle machining in series production |  | Tool changer At the heart of Chiron technology is the fast tool changer, which is a characteristic feature in Chiron machines. It offers the highest positioning accuracy, since the basket changer doesn't have to leave its position during tool change.
With fantastic tool changing times of less than one second and the unbeatably quick chip-to-chip times, it gets you seconds ahead, which can add up to several hundred hours after a year.
For production tasks which require a high number of tools, the machine with chain magazine is also available at nearly the same speed.

The cabins are usually designed double-walled; when the coolant through tool feature is used, the cabin is fully encapsulated with automatic suctioning.
