With EWS you will find solutions for driven and static tool holders for CNC lathes, special designs, accessories and a repair service.
EWS Weigele GmbH & Co. KG manufacturers both static and driven tools in its tool factory in Uhingen () located between Stuttgart and Ulm.
For many years we have specifically focused on a high manufacturing penetration in our plant, in order to meet our high standards of delivery reliability and flexibility.
Our tools are made from high-grade materials and are hardened on the function surfaces or completely. In addition, steel rests, toothings and contact surfaces are ground.
The driven tools are equipped with high-precision spindle bearings. The angular gears have a Klingelnberg cyclo-palloid-toothing for ensuring a safe transmission of high torques.
Due to our permanent advancement combined with our pursuit of improvement, EWS will fulfill its motto, which is Precision in motion, also in the future.

Precise gear cutting doesn’t come cheap. Until now it has been necessary to rechuck workpieces numerous times or use costly CNC lathes.
This need not be the case: EWS design engineers have developed, in collaboration with Gildemeister, a solution that allows gear-cutting tools to be used with conventional lathes. The new technique enables the cutter head to rotate steplessly all the way around the shaft, thus eliminating the need for costly B axes on the machine and allowing the entire gear-cutting process to be realized without rechucking.
