The VTC TPE Group has added to their mediprene range with a remarkable ultrasoft Zero Shore A rated TPE compound. Manufactured at the group’s Swedish site, VTC Elastoteknik, the grade has been developed for the medical device market including respiratory and wound care applications.
The unique softness of the new compound will enhance patient care by avoiding the irritation and discomfort which can be caused by many of the traditional rigid materials. Mediprene compounds are also completely synthetic and thus latex free, avoiding potential allergy risks.
The mediprene range offers advanced design flexibility; it can be coloured and is available in transparent and translucent grades ranging from Zero Shore A to 62 Shore D. All mediprene grades are based on medically approved raw materials and representative grades have passed cytotoxicity tests according to ISO 10993-5.
Managing Director for VTC TPE Group, Per G. Hellberg commented “We are committed to bringing exciting new materials to market; the development of our mediprene range demonstrates the advanced properties of thermoplastic elastomers and the virtually unlimited design opportunities our compounds offer”.

From radiator ducts to arm rests, wheels to washing machines seals, tool handles to toothbrushes.
Dryflex is versatile
Easily processed by a number of different methods, range of hardness from 0 Shore A to 65 Shore D, colourable or transparent making it the material of choice for a diverse range of applications.
Dryflex is high performance
Wide service temperature range, improved chemical resistance.
Dryflex is innovative
We are continuously developing new Dryflex compounds; adapting to changing market needs and we will continue to do so thanks to the development potential of its properties.
Dryflex is cost-effective
Fast processing cycle-times, fully recyclable and reprocessable.
Dryflex offers technical advantages
Dryflex compounds can be flame retardant, they do not conduct electricity, it can be formulated to swell in water. Dryflex compounds provide an excellent bond with PA, ABS, PC and PC/ABS for use in overmoulding applications.
Dryflex TPS materials in 30-90 Shore A
The VTC TPE Group has developed a range of materials - the S-series - which can be used advantageously in most applications. These materials are easy to work and are ideal for both injection moulding and extrusion. The links below display a selection of available S grades, we work with you to ensure we deliver the very best material to meet every application need and where an existing grade will not match those requirements we custom compound a material that will | | Unfilled Grades - 500S The 500 series is an excellent option when good scratch resistance is asked for and when there are high surface finish requirements such as elongation, compression set, tensile and tear strength. The low density gives lower weight compared to the 600 and 660 series. Material in the 500 series is available in hardnesses from 7 Shore A to 55 Shore D.
