Fully automatic DF-Tools
The DF-6 Automation is a fully automatic drag finishing machine for the deburring, edge-rounding and polishing of cutting tools. The workpieces are loaded and unloaded by means of a 6-axis Fanuc robot with a reach of 890 mm.
Changeover time is considerably reduced by storing 36 workpieces in a temporary storage area. In addition, the storage area incorporates predefined workpiece positions, for example for clamping thread-cutting taps along the whole length of the shaft.
A sensor monitors the changeover process in order to prevent malfunctions caused for example by incorrectly mounted chucks. The main functions are monitored and any faults that occur are indicated in the display.

The disc finishing process
The centrifugal disc finishing process is a vibratory grinding process and was developed for the surface treatment of workpieces. The process is carried out in a cylindrical container which is open at the top and the bottom of which consists of a disc separated from the container wall by a gap. During operation, the workpieces and the grinding or polishing media in which they are immersed rotate at a high speed, creating a toroidal effect.
The differing centrifugal forces acting on the workpieces and the media provide a very intensive finishing process which can be 20 times more effective than systems such as traditional vibrators.
In the wet finishing process a water/compound mixture constantly flows in and out, carrying away the particles of dirt giving the workpieces a clean, corrosion-free surface finish.

OSG carbide long drill
Conventional drill operations on the slanted oil holes of a crankshaft takes a long time to produce by conventional gun drills. Gun drills operate by cutting little by little.
OSG developed a new type of carbide long drill which makes a hole with one plunge and achieves five times more efficiency. Carbide long drills were not used for this application before because of the possibility of breakage during the operation. Brewers Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) is a natural ingredient, which is traditionally produced by washing, recovering and drying the spent yeast grown during the fermentation process of beer / alcohol. The yeast is dried using a temperature which stops biological activity whilst maintaining its unique nutritional properties. Brewers yeast contains a natural mixture of high-grade protein, vitamins and minerals and provides an excellent cost effective source of ingredients to enhance the nutritional value of basic foodstuffs.

Naturally derived colours orange
Carotene can be extracted from a number of sources including algae, carrot and palm. Mixed carotenes offer good stability to heat, and pH change. In application mixed carotenes give a yellow to orange colour depending on concentration.
Annatto is obtained from the seeds of a small tree, Bixa orellana, cultivated in America, India and East Africa. The two major pigments, bixin (oil soluble) and norbixin (water soluble) both produce orange solutions.
Paprika, the oleoresin is obtained from dried, ground red peppers by extraction and further concentration. In final application paprika can deliver orange to red shades depending on concentration.
Carminic Acid, the cochineal extract is obtained from the Coccus cacti insect, which is principally cultivated and harvested in Central and South America. An aqueous extract is obtained from the dried female insects. This is then purified to yield carminic acid.
Carminic acid is water soluble and acid stable giving orange shades at low pH and becoming redder as the pH increases.
