Components for ceramic differential pressure sensors We manufacture components useful in ceramic differential pressure sensors (capacitive principle). Sensors equipped with these components are suitable to measure differential pressures smaller than 1 Pa.

Polymer ceramics - novel inorganic-organic composites Polymer ceramic materials are inorganic-organic composites consisting of ceramic fillers and a matrix of organic polymers. The formation of the polymer ceramics is based on the chemical interaction of reactive groups on the surface of the filler particles with functional groups of the organic polymers.
Polymer ceramics combine useful properties as ceramic-like thermal stability and plastics-like high-performance and energy saving manufacturing technologies (plastic forming techniques, thermal curing up to 200�C without sintering).
Two types of polymer ceramic materials have been developed. The polymer ceramics CERMOPOL® can be processed as a granulate for dry pressing. The maximum long term service temperature of CERMOPOL® is 200�C.
The polymer ceramics CERMOSIL®- were developed to increase the thermal stability beyond 600�C. For this type of polymer ceramics a broad variety of plastic forming techniques like ceramic injection moulding, cold and hot extrusion can be applied besides dry pressing. Both types of polymer ceramic materials are distinguished by low shrinkage and therefore a high dimensional stability and precision. Furthermore they can be machined and recycled easily. Polymer ceramics have good electric insulation behaviour. Properties of the material and technological parameters can be especially adjusted and customized. This way systems with high electrical or thermal conductivity of with metal like thermal expansion behaviour and zero shrinkage for high precision parts could be developed.
The polymer-ceramic foam CERMOPOR® can be produced based on the system CERMOSIL® by the use of suitable foaming agents. CERMOPOR®-foams are not combustible, have no toxic constituents and combine inherent bonding strength and variable processing with high temperature stability. The foaming materials can be prepared as powders, pastes, or knifing fillers. Polymer ceramic foams show low thermal conductivity and good electric insulation behaviour. Basic characteristics of the foams like volume, size and structure of the pores, the density, the mechanical, thermal and electric properties can be controlled in several ways and adapted to individual requirements | | |

Ultrapure Al2O3 membranes for capacitive pressure sensors Capacitive ceramic pressure sensor elements are useful for pressure transducers and pressure transmitters in the most diverse ranges, e.g. in chemical process engineering and vacuum engineering.
The function is based on the capacitive measurement principle. On a rigid target two electrodes are applied, by those the internal forms the test electrode and the outer one the reference electrode. Over it in a small distance the common back plate electrode is on a pressure-sensitive ceramic membrane. For increased corrosion resistance and for the improvement of the relaxation behaviour of the sensor utilizing of highly pure membrane materials as Al2O3-materials (Al2O3-content ≥ 99,9 %) is necessary.

Laboratory power supplies "Standard" These power supplies are linear controlled. The ripple on the output voltage is very low and contains no HF-noise. Based on the innovative circuit layout a high power density is achieved with only a small amount of power loss.
Most of the power supplies are equipped with a convenient presetting of the voltage, current and OVP. The outputs are electronically switchable.
The power supplies can be used in either constant voltage or current mode. The voltage is adjusted by 10-turn potentiometer for a good resolution and easy setting. The power supplies are equipped with temperature-controlled ventilators. All power supplies are protected against permanent short circuits, overloading and inverse currents.
The outputs are galvanically separated and can be used serial or parallel. The power supplies are developed and produced according to standard EN61010 for laboratory equippment. The output voltage of outputs with less than 60 Vdc are SELV voltages. The power supplies can be optionally controlled by external analog signals (voltage and current).

Linear controlled 19" plug-in power supplies For highest quality in control and lowest ripple the linear controlled power supplies type SMCP are the best choice.
To guarantee superb technical performance the transformer is located separately from the control electronics to prevent direct coupling of parasitics from the line to the control circuit. Only linear-controlled power supplies deliver output voltages with such a low ripple and high stability. These power supplies are mainly used in measurement applications. All outputs are equipped with sense lines to compensate the voltage loss on the output lines. The 5V outputs are equipped with an overvoltage protection circuit (OVP) to protect the load from overvoltage.
The supply voltage is a low AC voltage. Based on the application an external ring core transformer or a ferroresonant transformer can be used. A ferroresonant transformer reduces line disturbances up to 80 dB and compensates the voltage variations from the line. The power supplies are made to fit in a 19" rack with 3 units height.

Magnetic controlled power supplies Type MAG power supplies are made simple, have high output power and a high reliability even under bad environment conditions. These power supplies are made for rough industrial use.
Based on the ferroresonance principle, the noise reduction can be up to 80dB for line disturbances. In respect of the few elements used for such a power supply the reliability is very high. The power supply needs no service and no special protection. It can handle up to 50% overload for a limited time.
The resonance circuit on the transformer is the basic part for the control of the output voltage and the noise reduction. The advantage over switch mode power supplies is the additional controlled 230 Vac output (MAG 480 and MAG 960).
Type MAG power supplies have a low feedback to the line and do not need an additional power factor correction circuit (PFC).
These powersupplies can easily be converted in DC-USV power-supplies.

Chemical Vapor Aluminizing (CVA) Equipment The Bernex ATL Aluvap CVA (Chemical Vapor Aluminizing) coating systems are designed to deposit an aluminide diffusion layer on hot section turbine components such as turbine blades and stators.
In the past ten years, the inlet temperature for gas turbines has risen from 1100(°)C to 1230(°)C (gas plus cooling air) and the gas itself can be as hot as 1550(°)C. Due to the high operating temperatures and extreme operating conditions, surface treatments for turbine blades (as well as other hot section parts) have been developed to combat wear, fatigue, creep, corrosion and oxidation.
The equipment is especially suitable for coating internal cooling channels that cannot be treated by pack / out-of-pack or aluminium slurry processes. Indeed, the Bernex ATL Aluvap process is superior than other processes because it offers:
Reduced waste disposal headaches inherent in pack and out-of-pack aluminizing processes
Increased flexibility and control over active reactants, ability to add other elements for enhanced performance

PaCVD Equipment Ionbond's Bernex Plasma-Assisted Chemical vapor Deposition (PaCVD or PeCVD) coating equipment allows for the deposition of extremely smooth Amorphous Diamond Like Carbon (ADLC) coatings at temperatures under 200° C.
ADLC coatings have an extremely low coefficient of friction, are non-conductive and chemically inert. Primary applications include engine components and machine parts.

TetraBond Equipment Ionbond TetraBond equipment allows the deposition of extremely hard, non-hydrogenated diamond like carbon coatings (DLC).
Door to door cycle times, generally under 3.5 hours, are much shorter than most DLC / diamond coating deposition cycles.
TetraBond can be deposited on both carbide and steel due to low coating deposition temperature (under 150(°)C).

Operating Principle: Faraday's Law
The principle of operation of the flow meter is based upon Faraday's Law of electromagnetic induction to detect the flow velocity of an electronically conducting fluid through a defined pipe diameter.
