About us Since 1935 the name Wagner Magnete has been synonymous with competence, quality and innovation in magnetic technology.
When Georg Wagner founded the company of G.Wagner & Co. KG in Heimertingen in 1935 he set his company the aim of becoming specialist in magnetic clamping.Numerous patent rights in this field within only a short period of time proved his competence. Various slewing devices, combinations for clamping pole faces and capacitor-controlled demagnetising units revolutionized the magnetic clamping technology. We have thus been reliable pillars of the industry from the beginning. New products in the field of iron separation from bulk goods followed. Wagner built rotating magnetic drums and magnetic pulleys with automatic iron discharge and in 1953 the first magnetic belt separator which were important components of today's recycling methods. In 1985, the company of Wagner KG took over and bought up the whole range of their hitherto competitor Binder-Magnete. The now, expanded market share required an extensive expansion of manufacturing facilities and the creation of new jobs. Extensive developments with permanent magnets and their applications followed. In 1985 Wagner introduced the first non-ferrous separator in a major trade fair. Moreover, the electronics with continuously improved control possibilities for the clamping and metal detection have become more and more significant. It marked the beginning of a new generation of metal detectors that are now characterized with high sensitivity, suppression of interferences and operating comfort. In a continually changing market you cannot rest on your laurels of the past. In the year 2005 we can proudly look back on 70 years of business history. During this period of time the name Wagner Magnete became the epitome of quality, safety and reliability. It is our obligation for the future to offer the best solution to our customers. Our daily new challenge is the high demand on quality and innovation: certainly not the easiest and cheapest way, but for our customers the most inexpensive one.
 | Electronic Metal Detectors Since the market introduction of the current 652 series, WAGNER metal detectors have been used successfully all over the world to protect mills, crushers, cutters and other valuable system parts. They work around the clock and under many extreme climate conditions, for example in cement, gravel and woodcutting factories, in glass and paper recycling plants and also in coal power stations. In general, the user-friendliness, reliability and disturbance-resistant, robust housing are given positive reviews by our customers. The transmitter and receiver coils are sealed with special filler material together with the shielding steel sheet metal housing. For this reason, our devices are very resistant to mechanical and thermal loads. If none of our standard devices can be installed because of especially difficult installation conditions, we can manufacture custom designs. The control electronics can be mounted up to 50 m from the sensor at a location that can be easily accessed. No special knowledge is required for commissioning. Our operating instructions provide a detailed explanation of what needs to be done. The display sensitivity setting for all devices is continually variable over a wide range. As soon as a magnetic or non-magnetic metal item with sufficient size passes through the search area, it is detected and a potential-free relay contact is switched. This signal can be output as a pulse with an adjustable length or as a continuous signal. The continuous signal can be acknowledged by the operator using the control electronics after removing the metal item. | | Holding Magnets Our magnets are used under the most demanding conditions in docks, steel works, dockyards, etc. for the loading and transporting of numerous steel products. For us particularly robust and reliable designs used in conjunction with emergency electricity generator for heavy loads are of importance.
Our range comprises all kinds of devices: from smallest robot grippers up to special designs for many material handling applications.
Electro permanent magnets are particularly used in safety fields and have the complete clamping force even if the power feed is interrupted.
In most cases the magnetic systems must be adapted to the respective application in order to guarantee a safe carrying of the load. We have the necessary experience. | | Lifting magnets Our magnets are used under the most demanding conditions in docks, steel works, dockyards, etc. for the loading and transporting of numerous steel products. They are usually arranged longitudinally at the end of the conveyor belt or across the conveyor belt. Electromagnets (type 451) dispose of a large depth action, permanent magnets do not require current supply. Neodym magnets (type 0451N) are exemplary because of their extreme magnetic forces and their space-saving design. | |
