FAWEMA TODAY - Innovation and Quality

Depending on the requirements, the packaging materials used may be paper, plastic or composite. These can be pre-made bags or bags produced from reel material during the in-line process. The FAWEMA programme will leave no requirements unfulfilled - you will receive exactly the machine you need for the packaging of your product.

FAWEMA was founded by Heinrich Kleinjung in 1920 and called FAbrik f�r WErkzeuge und MAschinen. At first the company manufactured twist drill milling machines, drilling machines, bow saws, grinding machines and other metal working tools. Later on, these products were also exported to the UK.

From the mid-thirties onwards contract work and government orders, above all the processing of spare parts for locomotives for the National Railway, contributed to the company's growth. By the end of the forties there was an increased demand for portioned foodstuffs, and FAWEMA, together with their engineer Julius Schwirten, an expert for packaging machines, concentrated on the development and manufacture of dosing machines. In 1949 a small dosing machine was built. Then Edeka ordered 250 dosing machines at one stroke to equip all of their shops and also placed an order for the first automatic filling machine. Factory workshops and a multi-storey administration building were erected. Continuously improved and new FAWEMA products resulted in further expansion. The production programme was systematically broadened, first by adding bag filling and closure machines and later by combining them with collating and packing machines into state-of-the-art packaging lines.

Today FAWEMA, with about 100 employees, is a successful packaging machine manufacturer operating worldwide.

Our production and delivery programme comprises packaging lines which cover the entire process chain from manufacture and/or feeding of the packaging to dosing, filling and closing and up to and including commissioning. FAWEMA machines cover a wide range of bag sizes, packaging weights and outputs, from 0.1 kg bags up to sacks of 25 kg capacity. High-performance machines produce up to 135 units per minute. The production programme is completed by collator/packers for grouping and wrapping individual packages into paper or plastic film.

	Bag Filling and Closing Machine FA 118/127 R Range of application: dry, free-flowing products, powdery, granular or pieces, e.g. flour, sugar, tea, flakes, spices, pulses, washing powders, powdery building products, etc. Type of packaging: heat-sealable packaging material from reel, e.g. paper coated with PE on the inside, laminate films and composites Weight range: approx. 250 g - 5,000 g, depending on the specification Bag sizes: min. 60 x 25 x 160 mm, max. 220 x 130 x 450 mm Output: up to 80 bags/minute, depending on filling weight, product characteristics and filler unit Additions: collator/packer for outer sacks/cartons or fully automatic collator/packaging using polyethylene film from reel with shrink tunnel Advantages: quick and easy format change, wide area of application in terms of products and packaging materials, efficient product compaction by means of a vibration track with adjustable frequency and amplitude.
	Bag Filling and Closing Machine FA 35.2 Range of application: products which need to be shaken, but not too vigorously, dry granular or piece products, e.g. pet food, cat litter, charcoal, sugar, rice, etc. Type of packaging: pre-made block bottom bags or side gusseted bags Weight range: approx. 500 g - 5,000 g Bag sizes: min. 90 x 50 x 200 mm, max. 160 x 120 x 500 mm Output: up to 80 bags/minute, depending on the product and filling weight Additions: collator/packer for outer sacks/cartons or fully automatic collator/packaging using polyethylene film from reel with shrink tunnel or automatic collator/packaging using kraft paper from reel Advantages: The machine processes 2 bags per cycle, which means high output at low cycle rates, and can be supplied with or without integrated closing machine.

	Collator-Packaging Lines For secondary packaging, FAWEMA offers automatic collator/packaging lines for both shrink film and kraft paper. While kraft paper collator/packaging lines are employed predominantly in the sugar industry, cost-effective shrink film is preferred by the other industries. Several upstream packaging lines can be connected to one shrink film collator/packaging line. Even bags with upright closure can be processed. FAWEMA collator/packaging lines are suitable for installation in areas with potentially explosive atmospheres. The size of the collations and the arrangement of the bags will be tailored to your requirements. Outputs of up to 20 wraps per minute can be achieved.
