CAM-Drilling

The fully automatized NC programme generator, integrated into imos APG's (task schedule generator), creates the complete drilling and milling data for the CNC machine. All technological data, such as feed rates, revolution speeds and driving paths are generated automatically by imos CAM. If necessary, the drilling can be converted to milling processing with the aid of macros. Automatic drill paths optimization is also possible. Barcode labels can be created with imos automatically, or be transferred online to an existing barcode system.

CAM-Edge Banding Processors (optional)

The edge banding processor unit automatically generates the necessary procedures for edge banding. The processing steps banding, flush milling, capping, cabinet scraping, and edge rounding are generated and optimized in correlation to the contour characteristics and the edge transitions. This information can be assigned to the element characteristics in advance during the design phase. Processing and functions depend on the machine make, type, year of manufacture and software status.

CAM-Milling

The choice of milling device, including feed rate and revs, automatically generates, depending on the material characteristics and profile geometry. Manufacturing cycles for the formatting and contour processing are also available. imos CAM ascertains driving strategies depending on the contour, direction of grain and material automatically. The complete profile processing is automatically created.

CAM-Processing at Arbitrary Angles

Any processing, such as milling, cutting and drilling can occur at any arbitrary angle. The technical feasibility of the specific machines should be taken into account, the optimal clamping position on the machine table is selected by CAM and the NC programme created accordingly.

Nesting

Before cutting operations commence on the machining center, the programme nests the furniture parts which have to be cut out. The calculations are based on the available panel sizes. This approach significantly increases material yields, especially when a large number of different shapes have to be produced.
