New internal grooving tool intended for small diameter holes
New internal grooving tool intended for small diameter holes
MIRCONA is launching a new grooving tool holder designated type 157SA-00, intended for a small hole diameter corresponding to 12 mm.
|
The tool holder shanks are made from alloy steel with an internal through coolant to facilitate the application of cutting fluid, as well as the evacuation of swarf.
|
| The tool range embraces holders with shank dimension 16 mm and cutting widths 0.8 - 1.85 mm for circlip grooves as well as 2.0, 2.5, and 3 mm. Insert type MZ is launched in cutting width 2.0 and 2.5 mm intended to be used in the new tool holder. To achieve maximum rigidity the insert is conventionally clamped with a clamp and a screw in the tool |

Company history
|
|
|
1921, Hercogovina, Yugoslavia, a baby boy was born named Wlajko Mihic.
At the age of 18 the restless boy broke away from the security of home leaving his family, never to return again.
The same year 1939 The Second World War broke out and Wlajko was deported to a labour camp in Finland. After a few years he managed 1945 to escape to Sweden.
In 1948 the Yugoslav refugee opened a little basement repair shop in the town of Gävle, which at first step, aimed at repair, supply and distribution of accessories and spare parts to the mechanical engineering industry.
The manufacturing part of the company was finally the dominating feature, distribution was closed down and the company took the name GÄVLE TOOL FACTORY.
|
|
Operations were now concentrated entirely on the manufacture of tools of high-speed steel or cemented carbide, in the latter case brazed tools. With representatives from the Swedish engineering industry such as VOLVO, SAAB, ALFA LAVAL and others, collaboration was established for specially adapted tools. Because of this relationship the GÄVLE TOOL FACTORY became Europe’s first manufacturer of carbide tools based on the indexable insert technology.
At the beginning of the 60s, the company’s products began to be exported, and the name was changed to MIRCONA.
|
 | Boring heads MIRCONA offer two different performances of boring heads, with which axial grooves, trepanning or alternatively internal turning can be made with a rotating tool in a milling machine or machining centre. The smaller size (BFG-20) covers diameter range 20 to 60 mm | | Groove and slot milling tools A complete range of slot and groove milling cutters are offered by MIRCONA to cover most machining operations performed by these tools. The MIRCONA slot milling cutter is used for deep grooving or cut-off. Due to the design of the patented clamping system, consisting of a sprung loaded integral top clamp, the clamping force on the insert increases proportionally with the cutting force. The clamping is based on a reverse angle on the insert seat, which effectively ”dove tails” the insert into position and completely eliminates the risk of the insert being thrown centrifugally out of the milling cutter body. | | MIRCONA micro-lubrication system Average cost for use of conventional cutting fluids lies on approximately 17 % of the ennobled product value, and the fluids are the cause of a not desired, influence of the surrounding environment.
These problems are eliminated with the new MIRCONA micro-lubricating system.
The system is based on the use of a biological oil that through a ”minibooster” is turned into micro-drops of oil and air, which in turn are supplied through the applied tool holder onto the cutting edge. For the system as a whole the following is valid;
The lubricant is fully biological and lacks toxic additives, which implies that nor man or environment is affected or damaged.
A complete system that replaces existing conventional cutting fluid systems.
An oil consumption of 2 - 10 ml an hour, without leaving any waste.
A lower machining temperature is achieved, which makes machining of close tolerances and fine surface finish possible.
| | Parting-off and grooving tools MIRCONA offer the largest range on the world market of parting-off and grooving tools. 25 different tool types are manufactured and stocked in more than 3000 different tool holder performances. | | Special purpose tools Specially adapted tools manufactured in accordance with your requirements and instructions - MIRCONA can offer you specially adapted tool holders and inserts for most machining applications.
To save time and cost the extensive MIRCONA range on standard cutting tools is utilised, which, with as few modifications as possible, are converted into exactly the special purpose tool required by you to solve your machining problems
