We manufacture a high quality ATEX-brand working clothes mainly to building- and metal industry.

ATEX-working clothes are marketing in domestic market trough wide reseller organisation. Resellers are mostly bolt-, electricity- and welding specialized stores and also leading hardware stores throughout the country. In Finland specialized resellers going around at the job sites and in the industry, bringing the products straight to the final users.
Besides this all, we have expanded our production to freetime , golf and sailing clothes for example.

ATS-Ammattityökalut Ltd was established. At first we were marketing tools and workwears mainly in domestic markets, in capital area from our own store and with a mailorder system to all over the country. Our external trade was mainly directed to Soviet Union. We bought our products from Finland and a little bit from western-Germany. Working clothes and safety workwears we bought from the domestic factories and from Sweden we bought very new working clothes models. Sales and marketing policy was at the time total immoral with all manufacturers and importers in Finland. Nobody cares to who were they selling to and whose customer it was. Our experienced management decided to start from the whole new basis the entirely business. The idea was that every product we are going to sell have to be self produced or directly bought from overseas. Marketing was only going to happen trough our own retailers, which we systematically started to looking for.
1994
We bought Atex-professional clothes to our selection. At the beginning clothes were manufactuered with subcontracting in Russia and later in Estonia.
1995
First own clothmaking department was founded to Estonia and we started of making first own overalls without sleeves. We were developing our brand name and searching the chain of retailers. We also make our factory’s machine base more stronger.
1996
At the spring the second clothmaking department started to make winter clothes., and in autumn all our winter clothes was produced in own factories. Third clothmaking department was bought in autumn and the company which was manufacturing leather products to us started to make our own leather collection.
1997
In June started fourth department with summer clothes – Clothes were already over 80 % of our whole sales. ATEX-products was manufactured 41 445 pieces. Still most part were sold into Finland.
1998
ATEX products family were developing all trough the year and the models renewed. We put few new models on the market. ATEX-products was manufactured 55 330 pieces. The part of export was ca. 10 %, main export destination countries was Belgium, France and Estonia. We ensured production capacity and we bought more machines and equipment from the one factory in middle Estonia.
1999
To make our winter clothes production more stronger we bought Finnish quilting company and we took it to Estonia. At the spring we were our first exhibitions in Germany. After that we started systematically to develop the sales in Europe with employing own sales agent. He was supposed to take care of our contacts and carry on correspondence. ATEX-products was manufactured 73 188 pieces. We sold still most parts into Finland and the part of export was ca. 12 %.
2000
ATEX product range expand. We got new models for example Millennium 2000-series and cotton Greenline collection. Our only fair in 2000 was Finnbuild in Helsinki Messukeskus, where we were in a common section with one of our retailer. Year was such as we expected. Our sales increased 10 %, just like year before. ATEX-products was manufactured almost 80 000 pieces.
2001
ATEX product range expand. We got grey winter clothes and Atex Action wear-models into our selection. We take apart for the first time to Colognes international hardware exhibitions in February 18.-21.
