Patchman also patches larger-sized sheets that are difficult for a manual patcher to handle. These include standard platen sizes of 4x8, as well as presses for handling specialty-sized panels and LVL in a range of widths.
Our pre-presses are of heavy-duty construction with top mounted hydraulics to reduce energy consumption and lessen the hydraulic workload. The maintenance requirements are typically low and easy access to all components is available. |  | Sanding and grading Prior to the panel being overlaid, its surface must be sanded and inspected. It is essential to the quality of the finished product that the surface of the panel is smooth and free from defects in order for the overlay material to adhere properly and to ensure its visual appearance.
This applies particularly to overlay materials, like melamine and flooring laminates, which are used on products whose visual appearance is typically the most important issue to the purchaser.
