Permascand deliver customized solutions, born of intelligent design and precision engineering. We handle the process from the definition of the problem to the drawing board and the finished product. There are areas where demands on equipment are extreme, for example in strength, weight, resistance to corrosion etc. The chemical and nuclear industries are perfect examples of this. We supply titanium pipes and pressure vessels to these industries and to others with extremely rigorous demands on operating reliability

Electrodes

Permascand offers an extensive range of anode and cathode models with various types of catalyst coatings suited to a variety of electrochemical processes. The anodes are given a noble-metal surface coat over titanium, and the cathodes are steel or coated nickel, depending on the type of process. Anodes are what is known as the DSA-type, dimensionally stable and customer-specific, where choice of catalytic coating is made on the basis of the actual process environment. Manufacture of electrodes with various structures, in either titanium or nickel, takes place in the ultra-modern plant at Ljungaverk, which produces electrodes up to an area of 3 m², where each electrode is run a number of times through surface treatments and furnaces depending on the required amount of the catalytic coating. Permascand has supplied DSA (Dimensionally Stable Anodes) electrodes with catalytic coatings to the chemical industry for more than 35 years and hence helped saving energy corresponding to the yearly production of one nuclear power station In Sweden

The main focus is on sheets, plates and bars, a field in which we can offer our customers material kits adapted to suit their own formats. We also have piping, elbows and other titanium components in stock, as well as fasteners.
