 | Coal Pulverizer MRS stands for Mitsubishi Rotary Separator.
Coal particles are carried into the separator, where the particles impinge against the rotating vanes.
As a result of the balance of forces within a separating zone, only fine particles enter the inside, whereas the coarse ones are ejected away toward the outside.
The coal particles existing in this separating zone are under the influence of centrifugal (F) and centripetal (R) forces caused by the separator vanes and the air flow respectively. | | Combined cycle power plant In 1984, a combined cycle power plant incorporating the latest turbine technology, supplied by Takasago Machinery Works to Tohoku Electric Power Co.'s Higashi Niigata Power Station, was first put into commercial operation. In terms of thermal efficiency, this accomplishment was epoch-making for the period. The plant saved far greater energy than possible with conventional steam power plants. In July, 1999, a new combined cycle power plant with over 50% thermal efficiency for Tohoku Electric Power Co.'s Higashi Niigata Power Station was completed and confirmed their satisfactory operations. We are proud of a number of accomplishments we have made as the only Japanese manufacturer that perform all the activities from engineering, civil work and construction to commissioning and after-sales servicing with the technologies developed by ourselves. More than 25 combined cycle power plants have also been supplied to over 20 countries in the world, including Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North and South America. | | Gas Turbines Gas Turbines | | GEOTHERMAL POWER PLANT High temperature water or steam under pressure gushes out of 300 to 3,000 meter deep (production) wells. This flow passes through separators (High pressure water/steam separators) and flushers (Low-pressure water/steam separators) as part of the process that separates the steam from the high-temperature water. The clean steam produced at this stage is sent to the turbine and the geothermal heat energy is converted into electric power. This electric power is delivered by means of power transmission lines to power consumers. The used steam that flows from the turbine is cooled in a condenser and converted to warm water. This warm water is further cooled in a cooling tower and is returned for cooling use to the condenser. The high temperature water that was separated out of the flow is sent from the underground recovery well back into earth. | | Industrial boiler Integrated diagnosis
