Patentes Talgo is one of the most solid companies in Spain's railway sector. With scheduled production output between 2008 and 2010 of 10 hotel trains, 30 high-speed trains and 14 Intercitys, which represent a total of about 700 passenger cars and 100 engines, the company has had to expand both its production means and human resources, growing from 180 to 240 employees at the Rivabellosa plant in Alava. For the technological part, the company has placed his trust in ZAYER, purchasing from this Basque manufacturer one Memphis, a gantry type machine to machine the large aluminium parts that make up the box for the passenger cars, and one 20 KCU to machine the steel parts that house the wheels and width changeover equipment.
