Being successful is one thing, staying successful is another. The innovative power of the Wemhöner products results from the close monitoring of markets and fields of technology. In correlation with this, our primary goal is to ensure forward-oriented, sustainable technology as well as a long service life for our machines. This philosophy has led to great success in the German furniture industry and far beyond. Wemhöner first exported presses to countries outside Europe in the 1950s, pioneering the opening of formerly sealed markets in Eastern Europe and Asia.
Due to the 300 employees in Herford and the agencies in over 30 countries with its own on-site service, Wemhöner Surface Technologies based in Herford, Germany, has become the technological leader in short-cycle, through-feed and 3D Variopresses worldwide. For the field of lacquering and direct printing lines, new ways are shown.
As an initiator of international symposiums in Germany, USA and China and with impressive presentations at the most prominent trade shows in the world, Wemhöner has proven its expertise and its claim as the technological leader time and time again

 | 3D VARIOPRESS Lines Whether you deal with veneers or thermoplastic foils, Wemhöner 3D Variopresses offer the right pressing technique to meet the different requirements for design and lamination material – with or without membrane. In this press mainly wood-based panels are used as base material. These line are outstanding for their long service life as well as the high quality of the final products. Depending on its design the press is able to manufacture either on commission or in small and even large series economically. VARIOPIN®, the patented base system featuring maximum flexibility, is one special example of sophisticated Wemhöner technology in the field of 3D presses. A tray equipped with this system detects the shape and size of the workpiece and automatically lifts it up, cutting out the need to have manually handled jig/riser board. | | Short Cycle Press Lines Wemhöner short-cycle presses are first designed and fully assembled in advance at the Herford factory to test production functions before being assembled and set up at the customer’s location. In general, the components of the overall plant are composed and combined according to specific customer and product requirements and subsequent conditions on site. Wemhöner covers the full capability profile of the melamine short cycle lamination – from flexible lines for smallest lot sizes to high-performance lamination lines with 250 cycles/hour. A double sided raw board feeder for thin boards, a continuous paper pallet change without dead time, film laying stations with single sheet alignment, stacking installations with protection board handling without dead time are just some of the examples of components you can use to maximum flexibility and ensure smooth operation before and after the actual pressing procedure. Of course, Wemhöner short-cycle presses can be designed and supplied as individual installations for integration into other plants. | | Special Press Lines Whether you deal with veneer, leather or other special materials: The pressing technologies of Wemhöner special presses are always geared to the requirements of the base materials, the laminating material and the design. This applies to both 3D and flat pressing. Wemhöner special presses are used in many industrial sectors.
| | Throughfeed Press Lines Also doors, panels and parquet flooring define modern interior design, demonstrate individuality and create a pleasant atmosphere. This effect is enhanced by the wide variety of available veneers made of native and exotic wood as well as the use of imitation-wood laminates and plastic foils. Founded at the heart of the German furniture industry, Wemhöner already developed press techniques to meet a wide range of different requirements for manufacturing base products for furniture, doors, panels and wood flooring at an early stage. As a result, Wemhöner’s singe-daylight and multi-daylight presses offer an unparalleled level of flexibility, speed, reliability and affordability.
