DREI-S-WERK was founded in 1850 as a manufacturing workshop (the "Schwabacher Spinnereinadel und Stahlspitzenwerk Fr. Reingruber KG") to provide the textile industry with industrial pins. Since 1938 the management has been in the hands of the family Schmauser, now in the third generation. In the course of time the small business has grown into a medium-sized industrial company which has been leading the world market for pinning systems for decades.
The firm's second operative sector was started in 1940 with the manufacture of standard precision parts. Since this time, DREI-S-WERK has been supplying precision parts to the machine and motor construction industries as well as for the manufacture of tools and forms.
DREI-S-WERK is not only a manufacturer, but also provides trading services for end customers as well as system and specialised dealers.
At present the traditional family run firm employs 120 people.
Over 150 years of manufacturing are witness to our ability to use our experience and adapt to current needs. Making sure that employees recognise and exercise their own responsibilities, networked thinking and the goal of maintaining our leading position in innovative manufacturing and product design - these are the driving forces which give those working at DREI-S their motivation and enthusiasm.
Using state of the art equipment we manufacture punches for cutting and punching tools, ejector pins and sleeves, core pins for injection moulds, pressure moulds and die-casting moulds, measuring pins for quality measuring and manufacturing and a wide variety of other precision, ground and moulded parts. These products can be produced to standard or according to customer specifications. For our measuring pins, tolerances of ± 1µm represent normal standards and we work with a very wide range of materials.
DREI-S-WERK is one of Europe's largest manufacturers in this sector and the market leader for ejector pins and measuring pins. To round off the product range, we also manufacture special and custom parts as well as appliances and processing machines.
DREI-S products are well known in all the relevant industrial sectors for their longevity and reliability. Our guiding principles can be summed up with quality, service and rapid deliveries. The range of different off-the-shelf sizes is one of the largest worldwide but we are also able to deliver special sizes according to customer specifications promptly.
Always one step ahead
DREI-S was the first company to manufacture ejector pins in Europe and it was actively involved in establishing the previous standard DIN 1530. Since then we have always been actively involved in the establishment of industry standards. DREI-S-WERK was a pioneer in the application of new nitrogen based technology which now represents standard practice.
