Kallion Konepaja Oy, KARA, is the world´s leading manufacturer and developer of one-blade circular sawmills, and the market leader of its field. In addition to the stationary and mobile circular sawmills, the product range includes also supplementary devices of small and medium sized sawmills, such as crosscut saws, board edgers and conveyor device.
KARA sawmills are in operation in nearly seventy countries worldwide, in very different circumstances.
Kallion Konepaja Oy is a family-owned business started in 1918, and the circular sawmill KARA has been the company´s main product from the start.

Kallion Konepaja Oy´s functions are concentrated in the company premises situated in Konsa industrial area in Raisio, where a personnel of forty experienced professionals are working.
We have a lot of long term employees at the factory as well as at the office, which reflecs a good working climate

Sawmill machines as well as spare parts are sold to the home market solely from the factory. Besides the sales network of dealers the clients are served also by our own export department.

 | KARA F2000 The stationary KARA F2000 sawmill is manufactured for electric motor drive as well as for tractor drive. The basic sawmill is equipped with a 7 m long table and mechanical size adjuster. The double pump hydraulics, 8 m dropper table and hydraulic size adjuster, as well as the KARA LS240 electronic size adjuster are optional extras. |
 | KARA MASTER MOBIL KARA MASTER Mobil is at its best in demanding professional use. The transportation, mounting and demounting characteristics are exceptional: the hydraulic transport wheels, patented cassette infeed end, to the side folded receive end and the hydraulic supporting legs for the central part guarantee the quick and easy management of the sawmill. The electronic size adjuster KARA LS360, the aligning double feeding roller and the load sensing hydraulics make sure that the quality requirements for the sawn goods as well as the customers´ needs are easily met. |
 | KARA OPTIM Designed for edging of side boards KARA OPTIM is suitable for handling all species of wood. This board edger specially designed for a circular sawmill line is also suitable for other edging. KARA OPTIM has a mechanical width adjusting, and the electronic KARA LS90 is available as option. |
 | KARA TWIN CROSSCUT SAW This crosscutting and trimming unit designed for a small sawmill line consists of two cutting units with a roller in between. The intermediate roller is equipped with module measurement stoppers working in both directions. |
 | ROLL CONVEYORS Thanks to their module construction KARA roll conveyors are flexible to use for very different purposes and they can easily be changed afterwards, when needed. The conveyors are available in 6 m long modules and equipped with flat or spiral rollers, with spirals running to right or left. Two widths, 300 mm and 500 mm. Dividing flap and hydraulic fence are available as options. |
