Centrifugal separators and complex systems for Clarifying industrial fluids
Philosophy Our success is based on not just building systems, but also providing solutions for complex customer problems. The basis for this is, on the one hand, a profound understanding of the filter and centrifugal technology used, but also, and much more decisively, familiarity of the process at the individual customer where the clarification system is to be installed.
About ourselves STA has been manufacturing and marketing centrifugal separators and complex systems for clarifying industrial fluids since 1992. Thanks to many decades of experience of various production procedures, such as grinding technology and surface treatment, as well as our know-how in filter technology, we have been able to gain the confidence of many renowned customers, e.g. Daimler Chrysler and Robert Bosch, where over 50 STA systems are installed. Today, 30 employees work in the company's own building, which was built in 1993 and considerably extended in 2000.
 | centrifugal Separators centrifugal Separators | | Combined bath maintenance systems Our bath maintenance systems combine sludge separation by centrifugal separators with foreign oil separation by DPS systems. Variable possibilities of fluid guidance allow the flexible use of these mobile systems.
According to intended use, you can choose between our separators S-15 and NZ-50 in combination with the different sizes of the DPS series. Different materials and control versions make possible the optimum integration into your system. | | Oil separators STA develops and manufactures two different series of oil separators:
DPS System
Plate phase separators, for automatic separation of large quantities of coarse disperse foreign oils, working on the coalescence and gravitation principle
SAF System
Fine filtration of finely distributed solids and foreign mineral oils, working on the adsorption principle
DPS System:
The STA DPS system is a plate phase separator for static separation of two fluid phases which differ in density by at least 5% (e.g. coolant lubricant emulsion and hydraulic oil). Using gravitation (sinking of the heavy phase) and coalescence (merging of droplets), the light phase is made to float when flowing through the unit, and continually runs off.
Plate phase separators are used more and more frequently on account of increasing requirements regarding purity of industrial fluids, e.g. the separation of mineral oils from waste water, emulsions and degreasing baths. They can be operated with very low operating costs and can be used universally.
DPS systems are made of stainless steel and are thus suitable even for hot and aggressive fluids (pH 3.5 -14, Tmax=90° C).
On account of their automatic level monitoring, they are designed for unattended operation, and comply with the specifications of the German Water Resources Act (WHG, Para. 19). They are available with heat insulation or with heater.
STA DPS systems are available in 3 sizes:
DPS 350:
Volume approx. 180 l
Flow rate 350 l/h (= approx. 6 l/min)
Oil discharge 3-5 l/h
Suitable for receiving
volume up to
5 m³
DPS 700:
Volume approx. 230 l
Flow rate 700 l/h (= approx. 12 l/min)
Oil discharge 60-10 l/h
Suitable for receiving
volume up to
10 m³
DPS 1050:
Volume approx. 280 l
Flow rate 1.050 l/h (= approx. 18 l/min)
Oil discharge 10-15 l/h
Suitable for receiving
volume up to
15 m³
| | with automatic sludge discharge A SERIES:
The automatically draining centrifugal separators of the A series achieve optimum filter fineness even with a high quantity of sludge. Up to 50 kg per hour can be discharged, depending on the type of sludge. The separated sludge has lower residual moisture.
| | with manual sludge discharge NZ-50 SERIES:
The NZ-50 centrifugal separator is suitable for tasks involving low volume flows and solid quantities. Sludge is drained manually.
The compact design allows easy integration in production systems, for example on machining centres.
Thanks to special materials, use in aggressive media (90° C, pH 1-14) is also possible.
Application: Fine cleaning of coolant lubricant emulsions and oils, surface treatment baths, washing or vibratory grinding fluids, etc.
