The company was founded in 1989 and began to market an in house developed insert for thread turning, the QuadCut. The insert is on the North American market marketed under the brand name QuadThread. See our sales company in the USA (www.ststooling.com). QuadCut was followed by several other products, QuadCutOff for parting off, ThreadMill for thread milling, MiniCut and TwinCut.

Our products are marketed through a network of distributors. Scandinavian Tool Systems are represented in more than 20 countries worldwide. Our company is since 1995 a part of the Östling Group (www.ostling.com). Östling is a market leader within the field of product marking

Scandinavian Tool Systems is a member of the Swedish Machine Tool and Cutting Tool Manufacturer’s Association (www.fvm.se) . The organization is the Swedish member of the European Committee for Co-operation of the Machine Tool Industries (CECIMO) and the European Cutting Tools Association (ECTA) .
