According to a press release as received by Lesprom Network, Laesti, an Estonian subsidiary of Norvik Timber Industries(NTI) currently invests in new boilers, a dry sorting business line and also commencing the kilns in Parnu, Estonia, at its Sauga sawmill.
Olavi Tang, Managing Director of Laesti, states that the investments will help boost sales and will lead to better value for products.Sampsa Auvinen who is the CEO of NTI says the Sauga sawmill investment is part of the industry’s five-year development plan for Laesti.
Laesti operates two sawmills in Savi, Parnu and Sauga. In 2014 it produced about 103,000 cubic meters of sawn timbers.
