Kopar Oy is an engineering and manufacturing company with long experience in non-ferrous smelter industries as well as in pulp&paper sector and power plants.

Kopar Oy was founded in 1989 through an MBO-arrangement. Rauma-Repola Corporation decided to shut down certain business lines and the rights for the conveyor manufacture were sold to a group of employees who founded Kopar Oy.

Kopar is based in Parkano, Finland and it currently employs some 50 people. The annual turnover  in 2005 was 8.3 million euros, 30% of which comes from direct exports. The remaining 70% is composed of contract manufacturing and domestic sales, which mainly consist of subcontracting for export projects of other Finnish companies.

Year 2005 was full of growth: new manufacturing facilities were bought in Finland and a subsidiary was established in Estonia.

PRODUCTION FACILITIES

Kopar Finland has its premises in Parkano where in two locations a total of 4500 m² of manufacturing facilities are at use.

In 2005 a new manufacturing shop of 1500 m² was acquired due to increased demand for capacity.

Kopar Baltik, part of Kopar Group, was established in the beginning of the year 2005.

Kopar Baltik is specialized in sheet metal work and for the moment concentrates on subcontracting. It has 2000 m² of production facilities in Uhtna - Sõmeru, Estonia.
