Screw-type rubber extruders (GS) manufactured by TROESTER and used by the leading rubber processing companies in Europe and abroad have, for over a century, been recognised as setting the benchmarks in output and production quality.Depending on the application, TROESTER can supply the right GS extruder: cold feed (GS/k), hot-feed (GS/w) and vertical (GSV) Extruders. The GS series also includes vacuum (GS Vak) and pin-type extruders (QSM).

A QSM (cross-flow mixing) extruder is of a similar design to a cold-feed conventional extruder. The marked difference lies in the combination of screw and barrel which depending on the application, is equipped with up to 12 rows of pins.

The planning, design and construction of cable production lines to customer specifications requires one thing above all else: experience of exactly what equipment should be selected! This will determine the type of process employed and the necessary technical components.

TROESTER GmbH & Co. KG is a supplier of complete cable production lines as well as individual cable machines, such as e.g. accumulators (in vertical

or horizontal designs), winders (in stationary, portal and floor-traversing designs), rotating caterpillars, belt-type caterpillars, capstans and dual capstans.

These may be assembled to form a complete ’line‘ when an entire system project is being considered. Alternatively, they may be used as ’single units‘ to complement an existing line and optimise it from an economic viewpoint.

TROESTER extruders for the processing of plastics play an important part worldwide, especially in the cable industry.

The PX series is used to provide the insulation and sheathing of electrical cores, conductors and cables; either as a single extruder or an extruder group,

depending on the task in hand. Comprehensive testing in the TROESTER R & D department in conjunction with computer simulations aided by the wide-ranging extrusion tests and trials in cooperation with compound manufacturers provide the basis for an optimal extruder design.

The PX extruders designed according to the latest developments in process technology, are available in three different types.
