Erasteel is the world's leading producer of High Speed Steels and offers the widest range of products and grades on the market. The quality of Erasteel products is acknowledged worldwide and, thanks to an international sales network, our products reach toolmakers in all parts of the world. The quality and diversity of our products are evolving continuously thanks to a permanent research and development effort. Erasteel is a part of the Eramet Group and is a result of the merger in 1992 of the Swedish company Kloster Speedsteel AB and the French company Commentryenne. It is the only company dedicated 100% to High Speed Steel.
 | A WIDE VARIETY OF GEOMETRIES Erasteel offers a wide range of geometries and executions for High Speed Steel products, which are available in different finishes :
rolled

To improve hot hardness, cobalt may also be added.
High Speed Steels also have a high yield limit, high fatigue strength and high fracture strength and are suitable when abrasive/adhesive wear resistance is required.
Thanks to these properties, High Speed Steels are widely used in many applications: cutting tools (drills, endmills, taps, reamers etc.), saws, knives, cold- & hot-work tooling and wear parts. | | HIGH SPEED STEEL BY POWDER METALLURGY Erasteel has produced powder-metallurgy High Speed Steels since 1969. These grades are marketed under the ASP® brand name, of a worldwide fame.
Thanks to the powder-metallurgy process, higher-quality products can be obtained, offering the following advantages :
a higher hardness, due to a higher content of carbide-forming elements
a higher toughness, because the material is free from carbide segregation. In addition, the ESH process removes about 90% of non-metallic inclusions, ensuring better reliability of powder-metallurgy HSS tools | | high speed steels high speed steels | |
